The entry
A site for soar eyes

The Alberta Rockies offer several spectacular golf courses. But Jasper stands apart for a simple reason.
The scale of the landscape.
You spend four hours moving through forests, lakeshores, and mountain valleys. Wildlife crosses the fairway. Light shifts across the peaks above you.
The golf remains excellent.
But like many great mountain courses, the real memory comes from the place itself.
The golf
A timeless classic

Many courses change constantly. Renovations, redesigns, modern touches.
Jasper Park Lodge feels different.
The fairways remain broad. The bunkers stay simple. The greens sit naturally within the landscape. The design still reflects the ideas Stanley Thompson used nearly a century ago.
That restraint gives the course its character.
Nothing feels forced. Nothing distracts from the setting.
You simply walk the fairways beneath towering peaks and play the game as it was meant to be played.
The journey
Standing on rim ice

The Columbia Icefield Skywalk Tour lasts only a few hours.
But the memory lingers.
You remember the crunch of crampons on ice. The cold air drifting across the glacier. The towering peaks surrounding the valley inside Jasper National Park.
And you remember the quiet realization that the ground beneath your feet formed hundreds of years ago high in the Canadian Rockies.
Few travel experiences put you so directly into the landscape.
The Athabasca Glacier does exactly that.
